Our Story

Postorino Construction Finishes looking to build on their long history while creating a new legacy.

 

The Postorino name has become synonymous with industrial and residential painting in Southeast Wisconsin since 1946. Postorino has long been where your parents, grandparents, and friends go for their painting needs. In recent years we also have grown our carpentry division that focuses on drywall and acoustical ceilings, along with various other projects. In 2018 Randy Copenharve purchased the company from Stan Postorino. Randy bought the company after having previously been the head of the facilities team at Uline for almost 15 years. He brought Sara Gulotta over to Postorino in December 2019 and she became Randy’s risk management partner, helping work through the complex building of new buildings as well as additions to Uline buildings.

We service SE Wisconsin, Cook and Lake Counties in Illinois, and will travel a bit farther for the right opportunity. Our painters specialize in precast tilt-up, tenant improvements, re-paints, and maintenance work. Our team of finish carpenters focus on acoustical ceilings, steel studs, drywall installations, and maintenance work.

Gulotta Becomes President

When Randy unexpectedly passed away in September of 2020, it rocked us to the core. With a strong leadership team and our great field crews of carpenters and painters Postorino carried on. We had all the building blocks in place to continue with Randy’s vision, which made a transition to new leadership easier than any of us were really expecting. As of October 1, 2021, Sara Gulotta and Juan Rico officially took over as the new owners of Postorino. Sara was our team’s Director of Operations/Office Manager who has a wealth of experience in the insurance field including construction. Juan Rico has been with Postorino for over 20 years first as a field painter and in recent years, our team’s head estimator. With the owners now in place Postorino is stronger and more focused than ever. We recently moved our offices from downtown Racine to Sturtevant where we can be closer to the I94 corridor.

Sara, although new to the role as owner, has been a breath of fresh air with innovative ideas and unique perspective due to her risk management background. Juan Rico has been a steady hand throughout this transition as his knowledge of the industry throughout the past couple of years has become invaluable as Postorino navigates this next chapter in their history. They are not alone in this process with a great leadership team. There are incredibly talented people with great vision throughout the company. You often hear companies talk about the innovative technology they use or their great financial strategies that they swear makes their company great. At Postorino, our teamwork is our ultimate competitive advantage, both because it is so powerful and so rare as we truly are a family.
